Learners have the opportunity to achieve certification in either Early childhood Care and Education or in Community Health Services in one year.

QQI Certificate in Community Health Services (5M4468) Level 5

QQI Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education (5M2009) Level 5

Practical First Aid Course offered every other year.
Course Fee Course Fee: €250

Please note: A government levy of €200 must be paid upon registration.
Financial Support There are grants availabe to those students who are eligible to apply. Students may qualify for VTOS payments and PLC grants for mature students.

Entry Requirements All applicants will be interviewed, there is no academic entry requirement It is desirable that applicants be over 21 years of age
Careers or Further Progression Graduates from this course may apply for admission to an advanced certificate at level 6. Students may also apply after one year through the QQI links scheme for entry to diploma/degree courses in Institutes of Technology and Universities.

Many of our past students are employed as Special Needs Assistants, community workers, and care assistants in hospitals, schools, homework clubs and a range of other settings.
