Participants must hold an Ordinary Degree (Level 7) in health and safety or a relevant discipline with experience. It is envisaged that applicants with other qualifications and with relevant OSH experience will also be considered for entry. This will be subject to assessment of other recognised qualifications, and/or recognised prior learning and/or relevant work experience. These candidates will be interviewed for suitability and be subject to prior approval by the Programme Board. |

This add-on level 8 in Occupational Safety and Health Management is specifically designed for those health and safety professionals who wish to obtain a relevant level 8 honours degree. Organisations are demanding health and safety risk management are integral components of good organisational management. This degree is specifically designed for those who want to take up a management role in occupational safety and health. In recognition of the broader remit of the role of the health and safety professional in the workplace, modules on environment, business, training and project management are covered in this course. Graduates will be qualified at Occupational Safety and Health Advisor/Manager level. Employment prospects exist in both the public and private sectors in organisations of all types and sizes.
Graduates can progress onto our Level 9 MSc in Environmental Health and Safety Management or onto a Level 10 PhD with a H2.2 or above. |
