Hide-Do you have an interest in writing fiction? Would you like to know a little more about what makes a character interesting and real? UCD Access and Lifelong Learning is offering you an opportunity to “taste” an exploration of How to Create Page – Turning Characters. Characters are the royalty of fiction and work best when they are more real than people with bodies and heartbeats. Creating page-turning characters and keeping them acting ‘within character’ throughout a story is one of the keynotes of contemporary fiction. One of the greatest challenges facing today’s author is to create compelling characters that interest the reader, fit the story and respond to their plot. This is an opportunity to gain an insight into this literary skill.
