Hide-Back To Education Initiative (BTEI)

The BTEI provides part-time Further Education programmes for young people and adults. It aims to give participants an opportunity to combine a return to learning with family, work and other responsibilities. Programmes are offered in partnership with a number of agencies throughout the country on a flexible part-time basis. Classes are offered throughout the year in the morning, afternoons, evenings or weekends. Courses lead to a range of accreditation at levels 1-6 on the NFQ.

Appreciation of Art, Craft and Design QQI level 5 5N0755

Monday 6 – 9pm / 26 weeks

This course will provide the learner with the knowledge, skill and com-petence to enhance aesthetic, social, historical and cultural awareness of art, craft and design. Students will visit art galleries and meet with different artists as part of the course. Fee: €150 (concs. apply).

All BTEI courses are exempt from fees where applicants are in receipt of a social welfare payment, hold a medical card or did not complete a leaving certificate or equivalent. Otherwise the following fees apply; €75 (QQI level 3 & 4) or €150 (QQI level 5 & 6).

PPS numbers must be submitted prior to starting a BTEI course.

Please Note: All courses require a minimum number so therefore all classes must be booked and paid for before the course begins. Start dates will be confirmed only when we have enough interest to make the course viable.
