The BTEI provides part-time Further Education programmes for young people and adults. It aims to give participants an opportunity to combine a return to learning with family, work and other responsibilities. Programmes are offered in partnership with a number of agencies throughout the country on a flexible part-time basis. Classes are offered throughout the year in the morning, afternoons, evenings or weekends. Courses lead to a range of accreditation at levels 1-6 on the NFQ.

Occupational First Aid QQI level 5 5N1207

Thursday 6 – 10pm / 7 weeks

Skills learnt include CPR, Defibrillation, managing choking, seizures/convulsions, heart conditions, stroke, wounds & bleeding and much more which you may encounter at home and in the workplace. This course will include Cardiac 1st Responder Emergency training. Fee: €75 + €10 manual (concs. apply).

All BTEI courses are exempt from fees where applicants are in receipt of a social welfare payment, hold a medical card or did not complete a leaving certificate or equivalent. Otherwise the following fees apply; €75 (QQI level 3 & 4) or €150 (QQI level 5 & 6).

PPS numbers must be submitted prior to starting a BTEI course.

Please Note: All courses require a minimum number so therefore all classes must be booked and paid for before the course begins. Start dates will be confirmed only when we have enough interest to make the course viable.
