Entry Requirements There are no formal academic entry requirements. This programme is suitable for anyone wishing to learn technical aspects of moulding and casting combined with exploring unconventional applications in creative projects. No previous experience necessary, however the program is also suitable for experienced practitioners who wish to develop proficiencies. Materials will be provided.

Subjects Taught Content
• Clay push moulds
• 2 piece silicone moulds
• Alginate life casts
• Vacuum form moulding
• Sculpting techniques, combining found objects
• Casting in jesmonite, resin and wax
• Sprewing of objects for lost wax process in preparation for bronze casting will be introduced.
• Participants will have the option to cast their finished piece in bronze, incurring extra cost, at a fine art foundry.
Assessment Method Assessment/Examinations
There will be no formal examination. A group discussion and feedback on work in progress and final piece presentation will be timetabled.
