Course Content This series explores a thousand years of European history through ten masterpieces of European painting, sculpture, and architecture. The series places each week’s artefact within its historical and cultural context. The series will explore approaches to reading artistic style, artistic composition, and cultural context of production. At the end of the series participants will be able to confidently apply the skills of reading visual images to a variety of contexts.
