Hide-Art therapy is a specialized form of psychotherapy that is largely underpinned by psychoanalytical theories. This course combines the theoretical with the experiential in a hope to give participants an embodied experience of the art therapy process. It is aimed at those interested in exploring the realms of the psyche, soma and creativity. This will include an exploration of the visual art-making processes and mind-body connections, as viewed from the perspective of art therapy. The course may be of interest to those who are studying/working in mental health care context (psychotherapists, counsellors, nurses) or to those who are interested in employing reflective art therapy practice in research. It may also be useful for anyone who is interested in creatively approaching and exploring the use of self in reflective learning context.
