Promoting Equity of Access to Higher Education.
To widen access to 3rd level, participating colleges have developed a range of initiatives including two new supplementary admission routes called HEAR and DARE.
Irish Higher Education and Government are committed to the objective of promoting 'equality of access to higher education, irrespective of social class, age or disability'.

The Higher Education Access Route (HEAR) is a third level admissions scheme for school leavers from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds. |
The Disability Access Route to Education (DARE) is a third level admissions scheme for school leavers with disabilities. |
Dates to Remember:
- Complete the HEAR and DARE Online Application Form by 1 February 2010 on http://www.cao.ie/.
- Submit supporting documents to CAO, Tower House, Eglinton Street, Galway by 1 April 2010.
