Entry Requirements
Minimum Entry Requirements
Leaving Certificate O6/H7 in 5 subjects or Leaving Certificate Applied or QQI Level 4 or equivalent or Natural ability and talent in other dance genres. All applicants will be auditioned and interviewed. More information will be provided when called to interview.
Careers / Further progression
Progression Opportunities
Students can progress on to the Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Dance in Inchicore College where on completion, they can become teachers of dance.
Students who have completed the 1year QQI level 5 Dance programme have successfully auditioned for internationally renowned colleges including the Royal Academy of Dance, the Scottish School of Contemporary Dance, Laban, Fontys, Morea Performing Arts and Bird College.

About The Course
Dance Studies is a one-year Dance programme at QQI Level 5 which will prepare you for a well-rounded education in Dance.
This course offers you the chance to achieve a higher standard of dance technique and performance ability. The course also offers the opportunity to obtain International Dance Certifications.
During the year, you will be expected to complete work experience in a Dance school or Dance Company. Students will also have the opportunity to take part in an Erasmus+ Programme in Austria and France.
