Course Description:
Bridge is an absorbing card game that will make the long winter nights pass very quickly. The course will cater mainly for Beginner, Novice, or indeed those wishing to revisit the bidding course. We want this to be an introduction without fear to the fascinating game of Bridge. You will be playing a controlled version of Bridge from the very first night. Upon completion of the first Course you will most definitely have gained the confidence to take part in a Beginners Group of Bridge players. Upon Completion of the second half of the Course you will be fully fledged, registered Bridge Players
Your teacher will be CBAI accredited Teacher and Master Player Brendan Doyle. Brendan has been playing Bridge for the past 17 years and qualified as a Master 7 years ago, one year later passing his Teaching exams. Brendan has been teaching Bridge for the past 5 years and runs his own successful Club in Roselawn D15.
The eight week course will cover:
Week 1 the 1NT opening
Week 2 Responding to 1NT
Week 3 Weak Takeout
Week 4 One Level Suit Openings
Week 5 Responding To One Level Suit Openings
Week 6 Responding to 1NT with Game going Hands
Week 7 Opener Rebids own or Partners Suit.
Week 8 Recap of the Course where you can take part in your first competition.
