The overall aim of the Advanced Performing Arts programme is to provide the learner with the opportunity to acquire the knowledge, skills and competence in the theory and practices underpinning the dramatic process and to engage with that process as a practitioner in a variety of drama related contexts.

Advanced Entry

By progressing to the Level 6 Award in Performing Arts, students will gain the opportunity to hone and develop their confidence, creativity, self-discipline and team working skills within the theatre context and to gain a deep understanding of group dynamics. These skills are transferable to work successfully within theatre as performers or drama facilitators and also with other Arts Community and Business sectors.
