Hairdressing
Hairdressing is an intensive, hands-on, course leading to recognised qualifications in hairdressing and related skills. Students interested in progressing to a second year where they gain higher qualifications in Senior Trades and a City & Guilds Diploma in Ladies Hair Dressing are selected on a competitive basis. Training is provided in the fully equipped college hairdressing salons. Work experience offers students the opportunity to further develop their skills in selected and approved hairdressing salons.

This is a full-time one-year course and runs from September to May.

Progression to Higher Education:
Students who successfully complete this Level 5 Award may be considered for entry into the Hairdressing - Senior Trades course. Year 2 offers certification in Senior Trades Examination (Department of Education & Skills) & (Diploma in Ladies Hairdressing - City & Guilds)
Students who successfully complete this course may gain entry to Third Level Institutes and colleges through the Higher Education Links Scheme.

Pre Guidance Meetings where applicable will take place from May 20th 2024
Offers of places will issue following completion of first round pre-guidance meetings
