Beauty Therapy
The training required for ITEC produces beauty therapists that are an asset to any salon. It is the highest standard in Beauty Therapy qualifications. ITEC graduates are recognised by employers as therapists who work harder and aim higher. An ITEC Beauty Therapy qualification is an internationally recognised beauty qualification.

Entry Requirements
Education: NFQ Level 4 or equivalent when accessing a Level 5 programme. Previously achieved an ITEC or equivalent award in a Beauty Therapy field CERFL proficiency at B2 for access to Level 5 courses for those whose first language is not English Mature learner entry requirements available via the local ETB pathway Additional requirements may apply to non-EU/EEA Applicants and may be subject to full international fees (Please refer to Information for International Learners) *Each provider may have additional requirements, not outlined above.
Aptitude: Not necessary but any previous experience in a salon would be an advantage.

Careers / Further progression
Career Opportunities
Graduates of this course can progress to work in Beauty Salons, Health Spas, Cruise Ships, Cosmetic Counters, Alternative Health Centres, Massage Therapist, Working from Home, etc.

Every year a number of learners have the opportunity to travel to another European country for three weeks fully funded work experience. The students attend work in their vocational area.
