Entry Requirements

Education: Computer skills are essential, some knowledge of computer languages including HTML and CSS, is desirable but not essential.

Aptitude: Applicants must have a motivation to learn, an interest in the subject and the ability to acquire the knowledge, skills and competencies set out in the course.

Previous experience: Experience in graphic design, fine art, web development, Photoshop or similar graphic editing program is desirable but not essential. Applicants must be able to demonstrate a moderate range of knowledge, skills and competencies relevant to the course, be able to work with responsibility and demonstrate the ability to work on their own initiative.

Careers / Further progression

Progression Routes: Students who complete this course will receive an Adobe Certified Associate certificate which will enable them to progress onto employment or to related further education or training courses.

The aim of this evening course is to enable the students to acquire the knowledge, skills and competencies necessary to build and maintain a website using Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 software. This course is aimed at those with previous web design experience and a knowledge of HTML and Javascript. It covers a number of areas including setting project requirements, planning site design and page layout, understanding the Adobe Dreamweaver interface, adding content, organising content, evaluating and maintaining a site.
