This course provides a recognised qualification necessary for working as a Health Care Assistant in a variety of settings, including hospitals, day and residential care, mental health, palliative care and the home. Successful candidates will be required to have obtained Garda Clearance before commencing their work experience module.

All students are recommended to have received 3 doses of the Hepatitis B vaccine before commencing their work experience.

This consists of a ceil blue (unisex) tunic, navy cardigan or a plain zip up navy fleece (no hoodies), navy trousers, black/navy leather closed flat shoes (laced/velcro) and black/navy socks.
