Course Overview
The purpose of this course is to equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence to research and use a range of advanced digital photography techniques to include capture and
post-production imaging.
What will I study?
Evaluate the role of digital photography as a contemporary medium of communication
Research current photography techniques and styles
Select appropriate equipment and software for a range of tasks
Interpret clients brief understanding concepts and visual language including researching and managing client requirements
Utilise a range of industry standard digital capture and editing devices
Expose photographs correctly by controlling shutter speed, aperture, exposure compensation and white balance
Manage digital editing tools efficiently to produce a final Image
Generate a portfolio of photographs of a high professional standard suitable for public display
Demonstrate advanced skills in digital photographic production
Demonstrate creativity through research and the practice of photography
Demonstrate problem solving, observation and evaluation skills through the practice of portraiture
Work in a disciplined manner, managing and participating successfully as a member of a professional team
Appreciate the need for planning, research, time management and self evaluation techniques
