- Applicants must be over 16 years of age.

- Must have a motivation to learn, an interest in the subject and the ability to acquire the knowledge, skills and competencies set out in the course.

- Preference will be given to candidates that have or currently work in the hairdressing industry.

A fee waiver is in place for applicants in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment. You can check your fee waiver eligibility with Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection (DEASP), INTREO or your Local Employment Service (LES) office.

This course will be recruited by interview.

The learner will apply appropriate health and safety procedures relevant to a hairdressing salon.

Demonstrate competency in a range of cutting techniques as applied to men’s hairstyles.

Demonstrate competency in the cutting of a men’s beards to achieve the desired facial shape.

This course is scheduled to run 2 evenings a week, Monday & Wednesday for 14 weeks from 6pm to 10pm.

This course will be recruited by interview.

Working in the Hair Industry (3002-201)

What is the certification?
City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate in Hair Techniques (3002-40).
